CONSERVATION LAW ENFORCEMENT
Since the program’s beginning in 1989, more than 500 students have graduated. Many have found employment as law enforcement or conservation officers at state and national parks across the U.S., with the MA. Environmental Police, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S Forest Service, and as wardens with state and fish and game departments.
Our 50 instructors have years of experience in all phases of Natural Resource Law Enforcement. They include current or retired National or State Park Rangers, MA. Environmental Police Officers, State Police Officers, officials with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife and Forest Services, and UMASS Amherst faculty.
This nationally recognized program provides 400 hours of professional and specialized instruction and practice, over a six month period for students who want to become resource oriented enforcement officers in a state or federal environmental agency.
